Plans for Saturday

Saturday should be a pretty fun day.

Colorado Cross Country State meet in the morning down in the Springs. The Chaparral girls are looking really stong. They all have experience on the course from last year, they have all been to big time races before, so I predict a very high finish. Their gun goes off at 11:00. And the boys are getting strong at the right time of the year, so I think some of them will pop a few high finishes as well once their race starts at 12:30. Good luck CHS!!

And then, later that night, Beth and I will be watching the Sox-Rox game from this vantage point.

Yep, that's right. We got Game 3, Infield Box Seats, right behind the Red Sox dugout. My old ski buddy Toby got tickets, he came out of nowhere with them. So, front row seats at Coors to watch Dice-K mow down the Rockies. It's gonna be fun! :)

How have you not realized this yet? The colts and rockies will beat the pats and sox. Good always beats evil. haha

Oh poor Zach, Everyone realizes that Easterbrook has lost his mind, has word not reached down there in Mexico? :)

You're one lucky dog, i would be back home this weekend if i could have gotten tickets to at least one game. Looks like you gotta cheer for the team for me at state.

Beckett pitched a great game tonight but lets see how the Dk handles coors and how good wakefields knucklers break in the dry altitude. Hopefully it will get more even.

Nice dude. Nice. I'm pulling for the Rox in this series though. Have a Coors for me!

Very nice; I'm jealous. And please understand that Jake doesn't speak for all Odells. He actually wrote to me that "Brady and Moon" make an incredible duo, so, you know, consider the source. [Ed. I meant Moss, so FU Josh!] Heck, even your other buddy there thinks Wakefield is still on the post-season roster.

Here's my hypothesis: When you're at Game 3, the people you see in Red Sox hats (and there will be plenty of them; Camden Yards is at least 70 percent Nation when Boston's in town) would be able to name more Rockies players than the majority of those who are there to "root for Colorado". I had to put that phrase in quotes because that's not really what they're doing. They're there because people are suddenly paying attention to Denver and that makes people giddy -- extra giddy, actually, considering the light air. I've seen Coors Field in the regular season...

But yes, have a Coors for both us Odells. I'll be watching for you. Say hi to your brother for me.

We have "Rising Sun" Japanese headbands on order. I have my lucky rum-stained Patriots hoodie that hasn't been washed since Game 5 of the ALCS. We will not be drinking any Coors, only Sandlot Brewery microbrews. I am very, very excited.

I tend to agree with Josh. The Rockeis are talking about the "homefield advantage" they will have at Coors, but NO ONE I know out here in Denver got tickets. Since the ticket sales were open to the Internet, you had just a good of a chance to get tickets if you lived in Tampa Bay as you did in Denver. This will dilute the percentage of Rockies fans in the stadium, and make my voice that much more heard. (literally and figuratively)

Look for us, right behind the Sox dugout, we will be there!

True...I had a free plane ticket home that I would have taken if any of the 8 people who were tryin to got one ticket for me. But some bastards down in florida or up in canada or somewhere probablt bought tickets solely for the purpose of selling them.

Kinda ruins it for actual baseball fans in CO.

Of course no one is gonna go to the Rockies on a regular basis when they finish second to last in the west. Next year i bet season tickets triple...maybe even more.
