It's in German

Wow.

This is why we don't race steeplechase in high school here in Colorado. Imagine if you had a bunch of freshman doing this race in the waning light of a late running JV meet? It would be a disaster.

Anyone know of any states that do support steeplechase in high school?

Also, wow to me for figuring out how to get YouTube videos in my blog. Yeah, it is actually pretty simple, but it took me a while :)

Glad to hear of the fast results at the buddy race. Cherry Creek will be a good race, there should be some good teams there, and it is a fast course, so you guys should have some pretty fast times. It will be a great test of your fitness.

TWO new coaches? That's news to me.

Yeah, it was a surprise for all of us too. Ms. Lanphier, a math teacher and jv soccer coach who has never run before, and Coach B's husband of course. And we're doing intervals back to back, every monday AND tuesday, and of course our 200s pre-race workout. With workouts like that we'll dominate if we don't all die first, I'm sure.

New York does steeplechase. I tried once at practice and ate it. But we had 2 guys on our high school team who did it every week.

Coach B's husband? That sounds like a great addition to the well organized and severly understaffed machine that is the Chaparral XC coaching staff. We just need three or four more coaches for pre-practice wallball and we will be set. Any one have some distant cousins?

Although the ACLU has fought in court to preserve the right to speak anonymously on the Internet, I always seem to remember my local paper's way of dealing with it.

"Any anonymous letters to the editor will not be published."

I think I need to reset the comments criteria. I have a feeling it will lead to unnecessary character slander.
